Twelve questions for tonight
Count every “Yes — we could find this tonight.” Your result is that number out of 12.
- First person to call
- Named backup
- Children, dependents, or pets in the first hour
- Where the signed will is kept (if you have one)
- Power of attorney or healthcare directive — or confirm you do not have one yet
- A written list of where the important originals live
- Where the binder or files would be
- Who may know what, and when (now / later / never)
- A pointer to the separate place where passwords and PINs live
- Primary bank or credit union by name
- Insurance contacts by name or phone
- Life-critical medication or care instructions for the first night
